
Panchakarma
Panchakarma is a treatment modality in Ayurveda, aimed at detoxifying and rejuvenating the body and mind. The term "Panchakarma" means "five actions" or "five treatments" in Sanskrit, referring to a set of five therapeutic procedures used to cleanse the body of toxic materials (ama) accumulated due to improper diet, lifestyle, or disease.
The Detoxification program mainly comprises of The Panchakarmas – the classical Ayurvedic purification procedures like Vamanam (Emesis), Virechanam (Purgation) & Vastis (Enema) and Nasya (nasal Instillation) apart from Abhyanga (oil massage) & Swedana (Steam bath) procedures to bring about complete detoxification & cleansing from within.
